What's in your wardrobe? Photo heavy!

I saw this here and thought i'd tag myself as its always nice to nose into other peoples clothes. I've not done it in the exact same way but the idea is the same. I've been gradually sorting through my wardrobe anyway so it fitted in with what i've been upto.

Here are my wardrobes, they run along one wall from floor to ceiling.

Inside at the top i keep shoes, bags, back issues of magazines and other random bits.

Heres one side with my clothes in that i mostly wear, the other side includes bridesmaid and formal dresses that i have and coats. The pink storage boxes on the left have scarves, sunnies, headbands, belts etc. The boxes on top of those are full of jewellery. Then theres all the shoe boxes which cover the floor both sides of the wardrobe.
I have two of these full of tights/socks/undies etc
And two of these full of tees, jeans, leggings, vest etc. I also have a load of clothes in the garage, which i really need to sort!

I didn't count everything as it would take forever but heres what i did count...
  • 18 skirts
  • 29 handbags
  • 5 coats and jackets
  • 2 pairs of jeans
  • 0 pairs of trousers!
  • 56 dresses, not including formal dresses, bridesmaid dresses etc
  • 83 pairs of shoes and boots.

What did i learn?

Now i know i wear dresses most days but i didn't realise how many i had hanging in my wardrobe right now, and it doesn't even include the ones in my washing pile or being stored in the garage. I'm going to make more of an effort to wear them all. The same with shoes, i did have around 100 pairs but have managed to reduce the numbers by choosing some for ebay and for charity.

My skirts are a mix of smart ones for work etc and ones for play, i still really need the perfect navy skirt though. I'm not really into handbags so was quite surprised that i had so many, i had more but again i have put a load in for charity as they are just not my style anymore.

Jeans aren't an important part of life, the same with trousers so i'm not overly bothered about the lack of them. I would like a couple more jackets, i'd like a blazer but they just don't suit me! Next winter i want to invest in a really lovely winter coat.

I chose a few of my favourite items that make me smile to share with you.

Teapot print dress, love the print on this its so quirky

Vintage velvet dress with full skirt, i've not worn this yet, but i just love it
Floral dress which has to be my best ever Primark buy, i've worn it so many times
Polka dot dress with bow strap, i just can't wait to break this out in the summer, it fits gorgeously
Glitter Mary Janes, these are the ultimate party shoe!
Vintage metallic bag, so cute and only cost me £1

Black skater dress, this is such a great basic
Embellishes leopard pumps, always make me feel good
Leather waterfall jacket, i couldn't not include this, i just love it so much

I hope this wasn't too boring for you? If anyone does a similar post, please let me know so i can have a look :)

Tonight i'm catching up on blogs, and hopefully looking at the new ones suggested a couple of posts down. Have a good weekend y'all xxx

Thursday, 25 March 2010 - my thoughts

I remember looking at a few years ago when it launched and back then it held no interest for me. How times have changed!! Boohoo now sells a massive clothing, beauty, gifts, lingerie and shoes all for fantastic prices. The website is really easy to use, you can get close up front and back views of the clothes on and off models and catwalk views too. I also really like the trends section on there too.
The bits that i have my eye on at the moment are this cardi and dress, as the prints are so sweet.
This nautical inspired playsuit
And this skirt, just because its supercute, i can see my 15 year old niece in this, sadly i think i'm a bit old to get away with it!
I decided to place an order to try them out and plumped for a floral playsuit. It was quick and easy to order, and delivery was really speedy. I'm really pleased with the playsuit, made from 100% cotton its going to be lovely this Spring/Summer. I think i will belt it though, i find that playsuits tend to be a bit big round my waist because its much smaller then my chest and hips.
So its a thumbs up from me! I can safely say i'll be ordering again.
What do you all think of Boohoo?

Top blogs!

We all have certain blogs that we love to read, so i thought i'd mention mine incase you don't read them alreay :)

Red and Purple Hearts - Myspace Glitters

Fiirst up is Vintage Vixen . Everyone should follow this blog, she finds such amazing bargains and always looks so stylish. I admire her confidence to experiment and wear anything she likes.
I also love the non fashion posts on here, especially the photos of her home and Jacob the tortoise.

Next we have Random London Girl . I have to say we 'knew' each other before blogging from a forum we posted on. I love her blog, she always looks so chic(even when she doesn't think so!) and she is also a lovely girl who picked up my much loved magnifying glass necklace for me.

I'm also loving Style of Fashionista . This girl looks amazing all the time. Everyday she posts a fantastic outfit and always looks flawless. I also want her hair and her black wedge boots :)

Finally i'm pretty sure you all read this one already but its Flying Saucer . I read this blog even before i started blogging myself. Its been really good the last few months with Selena being in Sweden studying.
Please tell me your top blogs, i'd love to read them.

Second haul post of the week!

Onto my second haul post of the week. I just wanted to say not everything posted was bought this week, they are bits I've gathered over the last few weeks and have finally got round to posting. I'm not a total spendthrift!
First up this cute denim bow headband, i can just picture this on a hot summers day with white sundress and sandals.
Jeggings from work, these are really lovely and comfy
Orange flower headband and black flower alice band

Horse belt from Primark

I couldn't resist this little dude!

Onto some beauty bits. I wanted a new mascara so i thought I'd try the Gosh Irresistible Intensity. I also managed to find a fab lipgloss to replace Mimmy from Mac Hello Kitty range which i used up. Its the top ones and is a lovely sheer pink. I got the bottom gloss free! It has a light inside and a mirror on the side to help you apply!
I finally gave in and got some Cheryl lashes, i can't wait to use these as they look fab on other people!
I also grabbed these cheapie lashes from Poundland, I'll do a review when i use them
And last but not least, i repurchased Bobbi Browns Colour Corrector and Concealer. I loved both of these products when i used them before and nothing else quite matched up. I also would like to say how fantastic the service was at the counter in Leeds.
Has anyone else been spending?
This weekend for me is going to be very quiet, all i'm doing is getting one of my dogs hair cut and reading magazines. Hoope you lot have more exciting plans!
