The weekend

Another weekend over with. What did you get upto?
Saturday consisted of a pub lunch, a mooch around the local shops, watching An Education on DVD(i loved it) while eating GU chocolates and kicking Phils butt on the Wii. I didn't go out on Saturday night, although i want to go out, i'm just not ready to leave Seb all night.
Photobucket
I also received a mini order from Topshop, they were offering free delivery last week(shockingly rare for Topshop). I got this pink bow belt for £3 in the sale and these pretty socks, i'm thinking they might look cute with a summer dress and sandals in the spring.

Sunday was getting up super early to go to Aquababies(its far to busy at the weekend!), a trip to Asda woohoo, unwanted visitors, cleaning and reading.
Today i'm waiting in for the shopping to be delivered and if its in good time get out for a walk with the pram and feed the ducks.
Ohhh i also placed my first order on Etsy, so excited. Its something for Sebs room, which is starting to take shape now.

Nail of the day: Myface Bellbottom Blues

To be honest i was a bit unsure when i picked up this polish in Boots as i'd never tried a myface product before, their stand isn't the most appealing to me and looks a bit (dare i say it?) boring. But this colour is fab, really easy to put on, one coat was all i needed and it lasts for ages.

Midweek outfit

Mucho excitement in our house tonight. We've needed a new sofa and were going to get a second hand one from ebay due to lack of funds but my lovely mummy and daddy have ordered us a lovely new leather sofa which will be arriving on Friday, we're going to pay them back but its a big weight off for now. Only problem is our living room is upstairs, as our place is over 2 floors and is converted from an old farm house so its quirky so i'm going to have to use my feminine charms to get the men to get it up the stairs.
Anyway onto todays outfit

Black bow shoes-Topshop

I love Sebs outfit today so thought i'd post it!

Its nearly the weekend! Has anyone got anything exciting planned? I 'might' be going out for my first night out in nearly a year while Phil babysits but i don't know if i can bear to leave Seb for so long. Also i have no idea what to wear!

Ins and Outs

Firstly thank you for everyones comments. You'll be pleased to know Seb is back to his normal self.

I've not done one of these posts in ages...

Ins
Matalan. They've got some really lovely things in stock at the moment, i got the swallow print dress i wanted and now have my eye on a skirt.
Etsy. I've known about this site forever but never really used it much, but now am on it all the time looking for things for Sebs room and other random things.
Twitter. I'm finally starting to understand it. If you want to follow me, my user name is Sebsmummy.
Reading. Thanks to my monthly mission, i've been making the effort to read more and remembering how much i love it. Plus i make sure i read at least one book a day to Seb and its such a nice time for cuddles.

Photobucket
Seb getting big! On the same theme, Seb is 12 weeks today. He never stops 'talking' to us and is full of smiles(mostly). I love being a mummy so much, i can't even explain how much in words.

Outs
Seb getting big! This is an out too! Its a bit sad that he is no longer a tiny baby and i've had to put away most of his 0-3 month clothes over the last few weeks. Keeping them for the next baby though!
Bills. I don't think i need to say much, baby born in the middle of one of the coldest winters, heating on 24/7!

Wild horses

OHMYGOD what a weekend, Seb continued to be a total grouch, he screamed for over an hour yesterday for no reason! He's also hit a growth spurt so is wanting to be fed every 2 hours. Its definately been the worst two days so far. Today though he seems to be ok, me and him slept in until 10am have been playing with some toys and now he's sleeping.
Anyway i managed to take pictures of my outfit between screaming fits yesterday, i didn't get up to much really, my mum came over and we went for a long walk, popped in to see Phil at work and walked back home again. Then Phils parents came over in the evening.

I also wore my favourite red lippie, its a Chanel one in shade 65. Not too bright for me.
Photobucket
Today is another unexciting day, i've had my food shopping delivered and i have loads of housework to do. Also have loads of things to list on ebay, mostly baby clothes. I might do some baking later and think we'll have macaroni cheese tonight(i'm addicted at the moment!). Does anyone have any exciting Monday plans? xxx

The morning after

Well after an awful Friday night with Seb who decided her wanted to make us get up and down all night i peeped out of the window this morning to see snow.
Photobucket
I was meant to be having a friend over but i ended up cancelling, being exhausted and Seb trying to win the grumpiest baby award! After a big sleep Seb has cheered up a little bit(well he's not screaming!) He looks like butter wouldn't melt!!
Photobucket
I had planned on wearing something pretty but ended up going for comfy and warmish! I put on slipper socks after this.
Grey Skeletal Birds tee-All Saints, Black longline vest(underneath-Primark, Black longline cardi-Topshop, Leggings-H&M

Poor Phil had to work today and is also exhausted, i've running him a lovely bath when he gets in and cooking something warming while he's in it. I'm good to him! Not the most exciting of days but i'm happy enough pottering around.
What is everyone else upto today?

Designer Loo Roll

I recently received some loo roll to review from The Designer Toilet Roll Company.
Photobucket
I received The Perfect Package which is 3 loo rolls packaged up, one floral, one polka dot and one damask. I chose the pink one of course!
Photobucket
Now these come brilliantly packaged so would be a fab quirky present for a certain type of person and they also look fantastic on display in your bathroom and would definately create a talking point! They boast over 200 sheets per roll and 4 ply paper.
However on closer inspection, the sheets of paper seperate very easily which is not ideal so they are definately more for display then use. They would also be pretty expensive to use all the time as your normal loo roll.
The girly side of me does love them though just for pure prettiness!

I also got a catalogue in with my package, these ones caught my eye! They'd look fab in my parents downstairs loo!

Pretty new things! be warned its photo heavy!

My internet has been a pain in the rear the last few days, driving me mad and not letting me post properly.
I had a fab weekend(seems like ages ago already), i left Seb with my parents on Saturday afternoon for the first time so me and Phil could have some time together. Cue me feeling guilty. We went for a pub lunch and a mooch around town as Phil needed to buy some boring work clothes. I dragged him into my favourite charity shop and nabbed myself this baby, shes only small but very sweet and looks lovely sat on my windowsill.

I had a £5 giftcard from Marks and Spencers(they randomly posted it to me?) so we popped in and i got us some goodies for our treats cupboard and then some new tea for me to try and of course Percy Pigs.
Photobucket
Sunday was my official break from being a mummy day. Phil took Seb to his mum and dads for the day to watch the rugby. I got to get showered with the door closed and dressed without a baby watching me! Then me and my mum hit the shops.
I really wanted a vest i'd seen in Topshop but did they have it in stock in my size, nope! So instead i ended up having a bit of a Primark spree.
Firstly my mum got me this as we both loved the random print.
I got myself the same dress/top in poodle print, it looks horrible in this photo though.

I had to get the horse print dress. Peter pan collars don't usually suit me as the necks are too high but this neckline is much better.
Photobucket

Photobucket
I've been wanting this scarf for a few weeks after seeing it online somewhere.
Photobucket
I picked these tights up at the till because they felt nice.
Photobucket
I used my boots advantage points to get these bits. Can't wait to try the blusher.
Photobucket
Then we went to Debenhams, i had £5 to spend on my beauty card in there. I knew what i wanted to put it towards and headed straight to the Chanel counter to get Black Pearl Nail Polish. For once the girl working the counter was really nice.

Photobucket
Chanel tissue paper!
Photobucket

Last but not least, i'd spied this dress in my local Matalan store. Only in sizes 18 or 20. Same online. My mum managed to track one down for me in her local store. I really wanted the Warehouse swallow print dress but didn't like the price, this one is much more reasonable.

Photobucket

Photobucket
I'm now feeling much happier with my spring wardrobe :)

I did come home to a flooded kitchen, some kind of pipe problem, but its all fixed now.

I want to apologise for the photos in this post, blogger is being a total pain for me and i'm useless on photobucket.

Graze boxes- a free one for my readers

When i won Lous giveaway she included a voucher for me to receive 2 free graze boxes. I'd read loads about these but never actually tried one myself so i was really excited(sad i know) and got straight onto the site. I decided to get my boxes delivered on a Friday. I went through selecting things I'd like and dislike so they would know what to pick to send out.

The first came last week and in it i had

  • Honey Bee Good(honey cashews, peanuts and pecans) these were my favourite.
  • Copacabana(brazil nuts, dark and milk chocolate buttons) gorgeous chocolate.
  • Jungle Fever(brazil nuts, organic mango and pineapple pieces) yum!
  • Cheddar and Red Onion Foccacia bread which was lovely and soft and fresh

Photobucket

My second box came today containing

  • Ancient forest nuts
  • Korean Chili crackers
  • Honeycomb flapjack
  • Natural vanilla seeds
I've not tried any of these yet but they look delicous!
    Photobucket
I'm really pleased with these, they are so handy you can take one of the sections out in your bag so snack on use as a quick treat. I love not knowing what you'll be getting, i love a surprise!

When you register with Graze you get given a code to give to your friends and it gives them a fress graze box, so if you fancy a freebie then use code WX31CWH and you'll get the first box free and if you don't like the box, just cancel and no money will ever be taken from you. Just go to Graze.com.

Today i'm doing doing much, the weather is vile here.

Recipe- Pork and Halloumi Pasta Bake

I had a couple of people asking me for this recipe so thought i'd post it for all. I based it around a recipe from the BBC site.

200g pasta, cooked
1 tbsp olive oil
1 chopped onion
2 cloves of crushed garlic
200g pork mince
1/2 chicken stock cube
3 tbsp butter
2 tbsp plain flour
400ml of milk
1 tsp grated nutmeg
100g halloumi cheese, chopped
salt and pepper

Heat oil in a frying pan and add the onion and garlic and fry until softening. Then add in the pork mince and crumble the stock cube over the top. Cook until the pork is golden brown all over.
In a separate pan, melt the butter and stir in the flour until the mixture forms a paste. Then add the milk a small amount at a time continuously stirring for several minutes until your sauce is smooth. Season to taste with the salt and pepper and then stir in the nutmeg.
Spoon around 1/3 of the white sauce into an ovenproof dish and then add half of the pasta and on top of that put half of the pork mix. Repeat this again, finishing with the last 1/3 of the sauce. Now pop the halloumi on top and pop the dish under the grill for around 10 minutes until the cheese starts to turn golden brown.
Serve!

This would probably be enough for 3-4 people, it was far too much for the 2 of us! The BBC suggests serving it with salad, though we had it with some garlic bread.

Outfit and buys of today

Its Wednesday night, officially halfway through the week everyone. Phil had this afternoon off so we headed out for a walk, then to town for a quick look in the shops and to the pub.

Mirror necklace-Topshop

Obviously its nearly impossible to look in the shops and not buy anything. I got me a boring black swimming costume, no body wants to see me in a bikini at the moment! Seb needed something to wear as our local pool likes babies to wear a costume as well as a swimming nappy so we got him these from Matalan.
Photobucket
Also i finally managed to track down some cream lanterns, i've wanted some since last summer so was glad to get these
Photobucket
And also grabbed this book for myself

Who watched Big Fat Gypsy Weddings last night?
