Don't look back in anger

GEThought i'd post an outfit of the day. Heres what i wore for work, i got some lovely compliments today, apparantly the people in another department were talking about me saying that i always wear lovely clothes. Its always nice to get a compliment!!

Bright blue silky top with bow detail-Marks and Spencer, tucked into black mini skirt-H&M, Black opaques. I'm also wearing my Primark studded pumps here which i wore to walk to work.

At work i wore these black shoots with studs from Peacocks

I am a little bit in love with this dress from French Connection. Its £110 so really i can't afford it but its sooo lovely. I saw it instore but resisted trying it on. Anyone want to treat me?!!

Wow its a year ago today that i started this blog!! Where has the time gone?

Weekend waffling

This has been one of my quietest weekends in ages.
Yesterday i went to Meadowhall with my mum and then in the evening i went to a friends house to watch X Factor and a DVD then i came home for an early night. Today i've been pottering about, sorting out my clothes and shoes some of which i'll be ebaying next week. Tonight i'm watching X Factor again, the addiction is kicking in!! Is anyone else watching?
Anywhere heres what came home from Meadowhall with me.

These sequin clutches from Primark, there was such a crowd around these and hardly any were left, they are fab for £5 each, alot of the ones on the stand had missing sequins and pulls in so check them before you buy. I never carry clutches really because i tend to put them down and forget to pick them up so when i use these i won't be taking anything valuable out with me!

The only bit of clothing i got was this tunic from Wallis, i never shop there but my mum does and she spotted this for me. I love the zip and rouching detail, its just about long enough for me to wear it as a dress with tights to go out at night. Will be good with leggings in the day too.

I also got loads of black opaques, hairbands, knickers etc.

The £3 shopping trip

I popped into a charity shop and spend a grand total of £3 on these.

This necklace, one of the gems is missing but its easily fixable

This bag, i'm not sure if i like it or not but it caught my eye so i got it

This book which is proving quite funny so far

Each thing cost me just £1 so i spent a total of £3!!

Best beauty tip ever?

I got an email today promoting Barry M and in it they asked for peoples best beauty tips so i thought I'd do a post on mine.

This is for the days you wake up with a huge spot(usually when you have a night out planned or a date or something). Anyway all you need is some aspirin that dissolves, a cotton bud and a tiny drip of water.

I got these cheapy ones for about 30p in bodycare.

Take one of the aspirin and pop it into a small container(I always use the lid of the aspirin tub), add a tiny little bit of water and mix with the cotton bud until it makes a thick paste.

Cover the spot in the paste and leave.

You can leave as long as you like, i usually wait for the paste to dry, then gently wash off. The aspirin reduces the redness and swelling of the spot. I don't promise to make it disappear right away but it does look much better!!

Things have been a bit hectic in the last couple of days. My dads been in hospital poorly, hopefully normal posting will be resumed in the next couple of days x

Hello! I'm feeling very tired after not getting to bed until gone half 5 this morning. I hope everyone else had a good weekend? I must have put on about 2 stone this weekend from eating out and drinking.

Last night i wore my green sequinned dress and new shiny ankle boots. I don't have any outfit pics sadly. Heres a random photo of Clare, Lisa and moi.

I didn't buy much shopping really.

I got this dress for work, its gorgeous on with tights and heels. I love the bow on the waist!

Then i got these studded flats from Primark as i badly needed some new black pumps. Glittery pink flats from MatalanAlso got some Disney Princess photo albums and a cup for work. Yes i know i'm 25!

Welcome to the weekend

I thought it would never arrive!! This weeks been up and down. I had my hospital appointment on Thursday, i had the camera inside my throat again which meant the boy got to see me afterwards all snotty and watery eyed, sexy moi! The doctor think it might be my tonsils causing me so many problems but isn't sure as i don't get a fever?????? I'm off to a speech therapist next which should be fun. Currently i sound like i've had a really rough night out.

Tonight i've been out with work for food and drinks as one of our girls is leaving. It was so sad as she's been there 9 years but also really nice as so many people turned out for her. I had the hugest pudding, it was 4 chocolate brownies with homemade ice cream and this lush sauce, i'm drooling now. Anyway i took an outfit picture

This weekend should be good i hope. We were meant to be going to Manchester but it got cancelled so instead we're off shopping tomorrow, then out tomorrow night for a friends birthday. Not as good as Manchester but still fun hopefully!! Is anyone doing anything exciting? x

My fabulous new necklace!

After reading about my lust for the Marc Jacobs Magnifying Glass necklace the fabulous RandomLondonGirl offered to pick one up for me. It arrived this morning in the cutest little MJ bag all wrapped up prettily. I nearly didn't want to unwrap it!!

After about 3 minutes i decided to unwrap it and here it is. I love it and it does actually magnify things which added to my excitement!!

I did a bit of Sunday shopping today, it was so busy, i don't think the credit crunch is applying round here unless people are window shopping????

Anyways i got.....

The cutest owl necklace- I already have some owl jewellery but my mum pointed this out to me knowing i'd love it. Its all jangly when you walk!

Refill for my Mat Lumiere foundation- the woman was so rude and had no idea of her products at all. She was like do we even sell refills? I was like its that one there and pointing at it behind her. This fabarooni dress which looks so much better on. I had to size up to fit the boobs in and the only one they had, had a hole in the seam so i got a big discount woo. It only needs like 2 stitches. Cream hat, i love hats so am pleased with this, its one reason i love AW to get out my hats again.

Mustard tights to wear with the dress i gotBlack and gold belt, also to go with the dress as its a bit loose on the waist. This bangle which is much nice in real life
And a big cup of pick n mix, yay!

I also got the Revlon polish in Plum thats everywhere at the min and a No7 eye base with my voucher as reviewed by Daisy Bee.

She's electric

Happy Sunday everyone, hope you are all enjoying the sunshiney weather!

Well i went out Friday night, ended up seeing the ex and staying at his house so we could chat, we've decided to give things another go, we're off on a date this week and he's coming with me to my hospital appointment that i'm having this week about my throat(again) as nobody else can come with me. I've missed him alot and it was good to see him, i'm just going to take things slow and see how it goes.

All of this drama meant i ended up not going shopping to Leeds :o

However i did manage a trip into town after work on Friday to pick up some essentials and i bagged myself this beauty. Its a really dark green colour and i love it!! Theres alot of sequins around at the moment and i wanted something different from black and not as gaudy as the bright coloured ones i've seen which just make me look more drag queen then anything else.

I think i'm going to wear it next weekend for my friends birthday with black opaques and platforms and wavy hair. I'm thinking bright tealy/green eye make up too.
