My take on double denim

Its been such a gorgeous weekend, spent lots of time with the boy and had a bit of a shopping spree too. The whole double denim thing isn't really me, good on other people but i'd look a fool. So i took inspiration from a magazine where it said not to worry about doing the traditional denim top and bottoms just to mix other bits instead. So here my take.

Hey! Hope you are all having a fab weekend. The weather so far has been good, warm but not to hot and sunny. Thought i'd show you my new things!

I also managed to buy some beauty bits but thought i'd do this lot first and those later in the week otherwise it'd be far to picture heavy! So here are my new buys.

Stripey tee/dress- H&M, love this for £2.99. Its really huge though, they are meant to be oversized but still not that big!

Baby buys part 2

Despite trying not to buy too much until i know if its pink or blue, its inevitable that i keep picking bits up for baby. We've already got a cot and travel system which are the 2 big expenses but all the little bits add up too.

Heres a few of the bits we've been buying.

I've been a pretty rubbish blogger and not getting back to comment on as many peoples blogs as i'd like lately so i'm making it my aim to change that. Thank you to my lovely followers.

Its been such gorgeous weather over the last few days and i've been spoilt by the boy, culminating in him appearing with some gorgeous flowers and a big bag of giant chocolate buttons for me.

I went out at the weekend and was struggling with what to wear due to my ever growing stomach. I settled on this dress which i've had for ages but never worn, it was perfect with the elasticy waist bit.

Firstly a big hellooooo to my new followers :)

The lovely Amie from She Wore WHAT passed the the stylish blogger award to me.

For this i need to tell you 5 random facts about moi so here goes.
1. I'm only 5ft tall and love it. Even with super high heels i'm still small! The boy is 6ft 4 so a bit of a difference!
2. I have over 100 pairs of shoes but always seem to wear the same ones?
3. I never drink fizzy drinks(unless mixed with alcohol) we never have it in the house and if we do have it in for any reason its sits there for weeks. I always drink water or fruit juice.
4. I love to cook, i find it really relaxing but i don't like anyone else being in the kitchen with me when i'm doing it.
5. I'm really messy even though i do try not to be.

Little haul!

Thank you for all the lovely comments on my scan photos,i keep looking at them and grinning! For those that asked, we're going to find out if its a girl or boy at 20 weeks. I'm not worried which it is but part of me would love a little girl and OH would love a boy. I do have a feeling its a boy for some reason!

I managed to pick a few little bits up over the weekend, its funny now, i'm hardly spending any money on clothes compared to before baby, i'm trying to wear what i have thats suitable and save money. Sometimes you need a pick me up though.

I've seen this beauty on several blogs and had to hunt it down, i finally tracked it to Primark in Meadowhall. I'm not sure how long it'll fit for but i love it so much,

And this hat, i love wearing hats and really should wear mine more often. Excuse the roughness!

In New Look, i found the maternity bit which is pretty big in Meadowhall, i got this gorgeous top(a tunic on me!) and its so lovely with leggings with lots of growing room.

I also got hair dye as my hair is in desperate need!

my scan photos. Well i had my scan today and there is a baby inside me! Its really weird and exciting at the same time and i had a good old cry!

Ins and Outs

I've got my first scan tomorrow!!!!!! We are both so excited!

Polka dots, i love them always but especially at this time of the year.

Pretty coloured nails- Lilac, baby blue, pink on fingers and toes.

Toad in the hole, i can't get enough of this, i love making it up from scratch and it never fails to be yum. Salt and Vineger Pringles are also food of the gods!

My lovely dogs, too cute for words. Waggy tails and always pleased to see me.

Outs
People thinking because i'm pregnant i don't want to go out still .I still want to glam up and dance!

Dry skin, arrgh i've gone from combination skin to having dry patches, its horrible!

I don't have many outs actually, too excited about tomorrow!

Nail of the day

Look at my awful nail painting! Its Barry M in the ice cream blue shade, gorgeous.

I went to see Iron Man 2 today with the boy. Its not really my kind of film but i managed to eat a massive amount of popcorn! We also went to look at cots and baby things, its all getting real, i have my first scan on Monday! xxx

Topshop Make Up

I ordered a few bits from the Topshop make up range last week and yay its arrived safely! Now maybe i'm really old but i remember when Topshop used to sell make up years and years ago, i had the most amazing neutral eyesahdow with silver glitter in and i used to wear it for school(i told you it was years ago!)

I ordered 4 bits to check out the quality

Firstly, Lip Polish in Coral, i really like the feel of this on and its a gorgeous bright colour

2 Kohl Pencils in Thistle and Petrol, i'm really impressed with these, the colours are lovely and they go on really easily and can be smudged too
Cream Blush in Pinch, the top bit photo is blended and the bottom is just as it when on. This is really really bright, but easy to blend down. I've not tried it on my face yet so i'm not sure how it will suit me
I did also get a free make up bag too, but its not that exciting!
I think i'll definately be getting some more of the kohls.

ASOS order

Ooooh ASOS how i love thee.

I just had a good look at your maternity clothes,

Now i'm rubbing my hands with glee!

I love ASOS anyway so was really pleased to see the maternity section and have a good look though. Its great that they have alot of the clothes in the main section(obviously altered for bumps) and also some pieces that are maternity only. I ordered a few bits just to test then out.
