Nail of the day: Barry M and OPI

After my post with this OPI polish last week i decided to go through my nail polish collection to find a colour to wear underneath. In the end i went for Barry M Spring Green with the OPI Fresh Frog of Belair over the top and i am much happier with it.Whats on your nails today?

Sales shopping

Every year there are stories on the news about the madness when the sales hit. I sued to love going with my elbows sharpened and ready to fight my way through but i can't be bothered anymore. I use the internet instead!

I hit the M&S sale first hoping for some new underwear but sadly there wasn't much on offer. Instead i got some bits for Seb and just a little purse for me.

Topshop was next on my list and i was pleased to see this dress reduced, i've wanted it for ages, loads of bloggers have it and its so pretty. It arrived today and its gorgeous although it seems to be sized very generously.

On Forever 21 i ordered this cardi(also arrived todayand is very soft)And this canvas bag which isn't in the sale but was a whole £1.25!Finally i popped onto New Look and ordered these shoes which match the dress and cardi, they are very very high!
We went into our little local town this week too theres not loads of shops but it was nice to have a look in the shops without the mad crush. I will post what i got but i'm still waiting for our new camera charger to arrive.

Festive nail of the day featuring OPI

A bit of green sparkle for the festive season. Phil got me this polish for my birthday, its OPI Fresh Frog of Belair from the Muppets Collection.
The pictures of are of 4 coats of the polish and its still not totally opaque, so this polish would be much better layered over another colour but its very pretty all the same :)

Shoes glorious shoes

Who doesn't love a pair of sparkly heels? Especially at this time of year!

Ellos recently asked me to review an item from their website and i was instantly drawn to these beauties, aren't they lovely! Not only are they gorgeous but they are also super comfy, the 4 inch heel is made more wearable by the platform. I'm always wary of courts as they tend to slip off my feet but these fit me really well and stay exactly where they should.
I'm currently wearing mine with black opaques and they are set to my shoe of the season. As well as black you can also get them in gold or silver. They would be a fab addition to your New Years Eve outift.

Birthday girl

Well yesterday i turned 28, doesn't time fly when you're having fun?!
I'm not going to do a birthday haul post, but i got lots of lovely things including Soap and Glory goodies and OPI Fresh Frog of Belair polish from the muppets collection.
I will however share a photo of the cake Phil made for me, his first ever attempt at baking, didn't he do well?
Also look at this lovely sent from Aussie and Laura, it was such a lovely surprise to receive a little Christmas gift in the post :)
How organised is everyone for Christmas?
I'm all ready, my shopping is being delivered on Friday and everything is now wrapped. I'm so excited to see Seb playing with all his new things and also i can't wait to see what is in the lovely parcel Char sent to me and also whats in the parcel from my blogger Secret Santa!

Mummy Monday: A few photos

Well its been a week of teething, colds and a big fall.
Seb somehow managed to fall out of his highchair while me and Phil were stood within a metre of him, and we still can't quite work out how he did it. Luckily he is bouncy and is fine, but i felt like the worst mother in the world, until my mum reminded me of all the accidents we had as children. Its funny how dealing with other peoples children when hurt is much easier then your own.

Lace and bows

Last night i met up with an amazing group of ladies. We all met on a baby site while pregnant and all had our babies in November 2010 and last night there was a group night out in Leeds, for those that could come(some even travelled from Scotland!). It was so lovely to meet everyone, we have shared alot over the last 18 months!
Stupidly i have no photos of my outfit from the night but i have photos of what i was wearing before.

Today me and Phil took Seb to the park for a carol concert that we'd seen advertised only to get there and find they had misprinted the time and we were 3 hours early! So we just ended up having a walk and then heading home.
I spent the rest of the afternoon making soups, broccoli and cauliflower cheese and lasagne.

Its my birthday on Tuesday and Phil is working all day, so tomorrow the 3 of us are going out for lunch and a look around the shops in either Leeds or Wakefield.

Petal Jewellery

At the weekend Phil offered to buy me a little present for being fabulous and getting our rent issues sorted out. Straight away i knew what i wanted!
After seeing Lauras recent post on Petal Jewellery i had been meaning to place a little order for some earrings.
I went for two pairs of earrings and they arrived today wrapped prettilly
I went for The Nightengale earrings and the Sleeping Beauty earrings, both gorgeous! They were only £4 a pair and with really reasonable delivery.
These would make a gorgeous gift for someone or a mini treat for yourself.

Mummy Monday: Festive makes and meeting the big man

Yesterday me and my mum took Seb to meet the man himself, Father Christmas! Seb was so good, we had to queue for an hour to meet him and he fell asleep and i had to wake him but he was fine. I wasn't sure if he'd be a bit scared but no, he loved him!

Outfit and online orders

Yesterday was pretty quiet, Phil was working and me and Seb stayed in waiting for our food delivery and did some painting.
We've been a bit stressed this week as our landlord wanted to put our rent up from January when our new contract started, which would have meant us having to move, but i called and challenged it as theres bigger places for rent in the same area for less money and they phoned back and said we can stay and carry on with the current rent. That a weight off my mind as we really like it here and have lovely neighbours.
Anyway onto my outfit!

I love this cardigan, its years old and was buried at the back of my wardrobe but its coming back out now.

I did a couple of little online orders on Friday.
Topshop are offering free delivery at the moment so i did a teeny tiny order to get the squirral donate bracelet(i couldn't get a photo of it to save) and the policeman socks as seen on Lauras blog.
I've also ordered this from Dorothy Perkins. I'm going out next weekend, so if this fits well i'll be wearing it with opaques and my sparkly shoes i think.

Today i'm going to my parents, and my mum and i are going to take Seb to meet Santa :)

Getting festive

Sorry for the slow blogging week. I've had lots on and not much time to blog.

How is your Christmas shopping coming along?
I'm nearly done, just need to order a book for my mum and a DVD for Phil then i'm completeed, so i feel quite proud of myself.
