Instead of new years resolutions which tend to be easily broken I've decided to give myself 3 missions each month which i think will be much easier to achieve. I'm going to make it a monthly post with an update on how I'm doing and my missions for each month. 1. Look after my skin. I've really let myself go over the last couple of months on this one and i can tell, my skin currently has dry patches and I've got several spots which is pretty unusual for me. I have all the products, i just haven't been using them. So I'll be cleansing, toning, moisturising, exfoliating and face masking away!
2. Cook at least 2 new things. I love to cook and it find it really relaxing. Phil is VERY fussy eater so its hard to find things that he will eat so we've got stuck in a rut of eating the same old things. So this month i will cook 2 things I've never made before from scratch.
3. Get out every single day with Seb. This might seem an easy one but since having Seb I've only been out with other people. The Cesarean meant I've not been able to take him out in the carrier i have for him as part of it sits right where they cut me and I'm not meant to lift the pram as its quite heavy and we have steps to go up. Add to that the snow and ice we've had and its been pretty hard to get out. Now the weather has cleared and I'm feeling back to my normal self I'll be able to get out much more which is brilliant as I've been climbing the walls! So we'll be out and about with the pram when Phil is off work and i can use the sling when he is working to go for walks in the park, popping to the shops etc.
I look forward to updating you all next month!

Great idea and should be more achieveable too by splitting into monthly tasks x
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your goals lovely, I like the idea of doing things monthly.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea, probably more easier to maintain
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with all your goals, they sound great fun!
Such a good idea to set monthly goals - good luck with achieving yours :) I might try to do goal number 2 as I always eat the same things and am so fussy but I should try to challenge myself to cook and try new things. x
ReplyDeleteGreat idea with the monthly goals, Em! Far more achievable and realistic.
ReplyDeleteJon used to be a fussy sod when it came to food but I've gradually converted him. xxx
I really like this idea - to break your goals down into manageable chunks. If you like Urban Decay enter my Book of Shadows 3 giveaway!

Good luck with your goals. I had a baby 3 months ago (little boy called Finn) and I have the same issue about feeling caged indoors too. I had a terrible birth and find it v difficult to find the energy to get out but I agree, it does make a huge difference to my wellbeing when I do. Congrats on the birth of Seb x
ReplyDeleteI think it's good to have goals per month, because a set of New Year Resolutions are far too easy to forget about come March x
ReplyDeleteGreat idea and these sound quite achievable too.
ReplyDeletethat's such a good idea to make the goals a little more specific and over a shorter time, i always end up failing on new yr resolutions because i think i try to think too big!
